Information You Send
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the provider that powers the result experience. Our servers do not keep a separate copy of those search terms. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to answer it.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting services may create ordinary logs such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access. We use aggregate information to operate, secure, and improve the site. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Site Data Is Used
Limited site data supports delivery, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvement. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual visitor profiles from the site’s ordinary logs.
Outside Links and Tools
Links lead to government portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. Those organizations control the information submitted on their own pages. Their privacy notices, rather than this policy, govern that separate activity.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting, analytics, and support providers may process the technical data needed to perform their services. We disclose information when valid legal process requires it or when disclosure is otherwise required by law.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection where available. Logs are retained only as long as operational needs require. Pearland Residents Directory does not offer visitor accounts, so it does not maintain a visitor password or public profile.
Children
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child. If you believe a child sent us personal information, contact us so the message can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
Texas Privacy Choices
The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Tex. Bus. & Com. Code chapter 541, gives covered consumers rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of specified private-business data uses. Covered businesses generally respond within 45 days, with a possible extension, and the law provides an appeal route. Because this site keeps very little visitor data, a request normally concerns a contact message or limited technical log.
Chapter 541 generally does not govern governmental entities or replace separate public-record confidentiality rules. A request to correct a BCAD record, a deed, a voter field, or a court record must go to the custodian that created it. Use the Contact page for an inquiry about site-held data.
Policy Changes
A revision will be posted here. Continued use after publication means the updated policy applies to later use.
